Costa del Sol Nightlife
When the lights go out the Costa del Sol really does come to life. In Spain, you find that the locals don’t start to really venture out until around 9 or 10pm especially in the summer as it is cooler. Another reason is possibly due to the fact that the spanish have a siesta between 2 and 5pm and then go back to work. This means that they finish later and hence do not get home from work until late.
When it comes to Costa del Sol nightlife you will find that there is lots of things on offer.
Restaurants
There are literally hundreds if not thousands of restaurants on the Costa del Sol offering a myriad of food types. You name it and you will most likely find it, including indain, chinese, italian, french, turkish and of course spanish tapas. Every pallett is catered for. You are even able to find kentucky, Macdonalds and Burger King if fast food is you preference.
It’s well worth trying Spanish tapas though. Tapas basically means that you eat a little of many different dishes which means that you get to try many kinds of food at the same time.
The prices also vary depending on where you eat, but its definetely possible to have a good meal for around 15 euro’s.
Nightclubs
Needless to say the Costa del Sol nightlife also includes many nightclubs. Many do not open until around 11pm and remain open until 7am. This is great as you can stop of for breakfast in a cafe on your way home in the morning.
There is a wide range of clubs along the coast and you will find the closer you get to the chic areas of Marbella and Puerto Banus, the more expensive they will become.
Dress code is generally smart casusal
Bars
If a nightclub is just that little bit too lively for you there are a multitude of bars to choose from. Round every corner there seems to be a bar just waiting to take your order. There are lots of Brit bars and pubs if you are feeling homesick and can be found all along the coast. There are Irish, Scottish and English style bars and pubs quite often showing the latest sporting events.
Some of the bars and pubs can be a little roudy during the summer as the tourists flock to the coast and generally cause mayhem in some of the bigger towns such as Fuengirola. The policing on the coast is pretty good though so do not let it put you off a good night out. If in doubt, try a nice quiet Spanish bar. The people are generally very friendly and welcoming and you will probably find that the drinks are cheaper as well.
On the Costa del Sol the nightlife is in abundance and you should find many things to do.
